Raising a Cubs fan: Cubs win cactus league opener

This morning my 5 year old ate his breakfast with my iPhone in hand looking at yesterday’s spring training scores on the MLB At Bat App. When he saw the Cubs score an 11-2 win over the Angels his face lit up, and out of his mouth rolled these encouraging words:

“Daddy…the Cubs are going to be better this year! They beat the Angels 11-2.”

Hope springs eternal! Even at 5.
