Raising a Cubs fan: Cubs win cactus league opener
This morning my 5 year old ate his breakfast with my iPhone in hand looking at yesterday’s spring training scores on the MLB At Bat App. When he saw the Cubs score an 11-2 win over the Angels his face lit up, and out of his mouth rolled these encouraging words:
“Daddy…the Cubs are going to be better this year! They beat the Angels 11-2.”
Hope springs eternal! Even at 5....

Raising a Cubs fan: Pitchers and catchers report
Yesterday I told my five year old that Cubs pitchers and catchers had reported to spring training in Arizona. His response:
“They really need to get there early, so they don’t lose so many games this year.”
Who can argue with that logic? He provides me with some good stuff throughout the year, I’ll post it here when I can.
